device for 360 degree image capture

We present a stereoscopic image capture system capable of recording in real time a set of images surrounding the device. The device comprises a camera fitted with a viewing lens which lens comprises three mirrors and which mirrors spin at as rate synchronized with image capture rate of the camera. The mirrors are shaped and arranged such that the images recorded by the camera view an image of the surrounding which is stereoscopic. The stereoscopic image may be such that the distance between the focal points is similar to the distance between the human eyes. Hence the image recorded can be presented through a VR headset to present a 3D image of the recorded surroundings.
